In His Time ......

Well, I thought I would share this with you all, especially for those that are "in waiting" such as myself. It was after Communion at Mass this morning, and it was just yesterday that I was talking to the parish priest about my discernment; about patience and His timing, not ours. This hymn here was the one sung after Communion today and it gave me the giggles. It's very pretty, so I thought I would share it here. The words start at 42 seconds. :)

I love that one it is a very good and beautiful one. We certainly need to keep the message in mind especially when it comes to discernment.

Thanks for posting! Waiting is difficult but God's timing is perfect. This song is my theme:

Perhaps I post it too often, but I love that song! It is perfect for the stage I am in. :)

Thank you both for those songs. I am struggling quite a bit with being patient as I just finished college and am getting ready to start my career. As much as I love what I studied I never really thought I would have a career in it because I always thought by this time I'd know where I'm headed in terms of discernment. I am trying so hard to be content and let life happen but I've been discerning since I was twelve and those almost nine years seem like forever. I didn't really intend to type this much but it helped to get it out of my head.

Isn't it beautiful? It was the first time I heard it also. :)

How I started giggling to myself was that I get back to the pew and as I'm kneeling there the first words I hear, "In His time...." It seemed like such a good time for that to happen and the lyrics are beautiful.

Your welcome. :)

This brings to mind a thought I have about patience. Over the past couple of weeks I've heard from quite a few people asking and wondering if "something" will happen soon, such as chastisements or when will Our Lord "do something" (doesn't that sound silly? As if He's not doing anything......) but it came to me that during these times when there seems to be so much evil and so many turning away from God, isn't Our Lord especially now manifesting His limitless love and patience for us? It really strikes me to contemplate this. On a little side note, I believe we should be thankful that it isn't the time for judgement, but the time of mercy; and don't we certainly need this right now. If He will let Himself be patient with us now; lets pray that we may be patient also. :)

"But of this one thing be not ignorant, my beloved, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord delayeth not His promise, as some imagine, but dealeth patiently for your sake, not willing that any should perish, but that all should return to penance." 2 Peter 3:8,9
