Kylie Spinelli
Hi everyone! I have been looking into the Sisters of Life in NY, and I am wondering if they do the EF Mass. I have been looking on their website and asking around and I can't figure out if they do it or not... Any help is greatly appreciated!! God bless you all!! ~Kylie
mantellata
The Sisters of Life may attend the odd EF Mass but that is not something they do on a regular basis. At all their convents they celebrate the ordinary form.
ToJesusMyHeart
I actually just got off the phone with the vocation directress, Sr. Antoniana (I might be spelling that wrong...) and I meant to ask her this exact question, but didn't have a chance to bring it up. I will be emailing her right now to ask about it. I will post the answer on here. I love the SVs very much, but if they never celebrate the Extraordinary Form, I don't think I'm called there. Gemma
Our affiliate new foundation, the Sisters of the Holy Innocents & St Gianna Molla are to be just like the Sisters of Life, but they are for EFLR adherents; post-abortive women; and older women. They have an EFLR available on Sundays. The foundress participates in the EF via webcam from the FSSP in FL. This is after she attends a reverent OFLR. The founder's name is Karen Lhotka. All aspirants have to be members of Dr Gianna's Assistants for Life first, as that is the sisters' third order. The emerging sisters have Karen, and one aspirant who is in DGAL right now. To Jesus Through Mary
The Sisters of Life may attend the odd EF Mass but that is not something they do on a regular basis. But of all the times I have been to Mass with them (and that is many) it has never been an EF Mass.
Just to clarify -- What I was trying to say is that the Sisters of Life do not have the EF in their convent Chapels. From speaking with several of them I don't get the impression they wouldn't attend an EF Mass if there was an occasion that necessitated if on the road, home visits etc... At at Mass I've been to with the Sisters I've never seen a Sister of Life be an EMHC.... every Sister simply files up to the priest.
Gemma
Karen wishes to clarify that since she doesn't have a community with her at the present moment, she is staying close to her dad, who is an older gentleman. Please pray for his health. Those who are the least bit interested in this emerging charism should contact her at holyinnocents_tn@yahoo.com Blessings, Gemma Edited September 16, 2012 by Gemma

I just wanted to add as well, these sisters are AMAZING. You walk away from them feeling so loved and dignified. The are pro-life to the core- they are walking Gospels of Life. She was such a help to me when I was experiencing a terrible trial and I thank God that He placed her at that retreat. Her prayers and kindness influenced me to come back fully to the Church and I will always hold a special place in my heart for her and the rest of the Sisters of Life. That is so beautiful! I LOVE RELIGIOUS!!! There are so powerful and valuable to the Church! I mean look here is one sister who effected you enough to inspired your return to grace (I mean we are already talk eternal value!) and now you are considering the same and think the grace you will bring down on others. God is so good!
Indeed! Give thanks to the LORD for He is good, His love endures forever!!!! I have never gotten the opportunity to tell her, in person, how much she changed my life. There are times where I think that I'll write a letter but how do you put in words what the heart can't explain? She, like her namesake, was an angel in my life that led me to God's will and I am all the better for it. If I had not attended that retreat, if I had turned around when I wanted to, if she hadn't been there, etc I probably would not be where I am right now in my spiritual life. ToJesusMyHeart
Sr. Antoniana replied! "Dear Katie, It's great to hear from you and chat with you this evening. To answer your question, we do occasionally celebrate the Extraordinary Form, but not regularly." I'm actually pleasantly surprised at this! I didn't think they had it "occasionally" but rather "rarely," so this is encouraging!
