I think the place in Wisconsin I applied to is ignoring me. It's been 2 weeks and 1 day, and I sent a little reminder email at 7 days in, and yesterday at 14 days in. Darn. :|

Oh boy. :|

I just got the email of the month I think. The boss man is ordering a complete redesign of our company's marketing materials, including the catalogs, brochures, handouts, everything. Apparently we need to meet some fun Federal Govt. design guidelines, known by the acronym C.R.A.P. Yup, I can't make this stuff up. It's real.

Guess when they need to be ready? Tomorrow morning. Our brave technical writers are already tearing their hair out over this. I will probably be summoned at, oh, 9 PM or so for a marathon graphics session. Should be fun, right?

OK, so I was drawing today. You know, keeping on with HopefulBride's project here.

And I am approaching completion of the line work. Except the face. You'll notice the face is quite blank. That's because I'm very bad at faces yet. I won't even show you all the things I tried, and tried, and tried again. Finally I think something snapped, and this happened:

So yeah. I need a break.

Hmmmm must be the purple theme.  I'm feeling naughty too... and RESISTENTLY ignoring my housework!

I am sure that she had days when she felt like that.... I bet she LOVED that.  I can even see her saying this to her Son and husband:

"I am 'Queen for the Day' "....

Well, I'm afraid I don't know about how the phorum software works AnneLine, it's a setup I am not very familiar with. It sounds like the theme settings are tied to your account data, and this is a known bug which will require altering the settings manually on the server side. As soon as I heard about the problem I decided to leave my own settings alone because I had heard of this bug.

not in there... just getting sad emails from the souls that are trapped, uh, in the Ghost Ship...  Feeling a bit like Counselor Troi right now.....

http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Ghost_Ship

From the book jacket   "In 1995, a Soviet aircraft carrier is destroyed by a mysterious creature that just as mysteriously disappears thereafter. Over three hundred years later, Counselor Deanna Troi awakens in her quarters from a nightmare in which she senses the voices of the crew of that Russian ship, whose life-essences were somehow absorbed by the creature that destroyed them. And the nightmare heralds a danger to the USS Enterprise-D itself, for if Picard can't discover a way to communicate with the creature, it could absorb his crew just as it did the Russians."

My friends are stuck in there... Papist, MissyP, dust... and who knows how many more...
