AnneLine
You edit your posts very quickly, I must say. Thanks for the share on that, it's quite nice. The DeTomaso was a chance discovery, actually. I'm glad you enjoyed looking at it too. I might try to paint one, just because drawing cars is a good time any day.
Yeah, his weekly 'abbot's notebook' has some real gems.... I fear for the most part cars are lost on me, the non-driver. Any otehr woman would be thrilled to get a new car every day, right? My husband literally gets them every day and sometimes more than once a day... he gets a different one to drive for Hertz as a manager. It reallly gets old... and I've nearly gotten into the car with the wrong man on more than one occasion.... really have to watch who is driving those cars...... arfink
Well, I did do a few productive things today: 1- My sister has been super worried about the organization of our young adults group, and wanted to talk to our priest about it. But she is so shy and can't convey her thoughts really well, so I came with to back her up in the meeting, which went well. I took her out for lunch afterwards (Jimmy Johns for a Club Lulu) to really cheer her up. 2- She (my sister) really wanted to spend time with me, so we spent the whole afternoon playing Minecraft. BG45 was online with us too. 3- I painted some stuff. arfink
It certainly turned out better than anticipated. I did it much differently than my others, in that I didn't attempt to vary the textures at all, instead opting to do the entire thing with a simple soft watercolor brush and no sketching. arfink
So today I took the day off more or less, but I just had to try something out with the laser: That's my phone, with extra bling. http://www.phatmass.com/phorum/topic/125444-of-cell-phones-and-lasers/
AnneLine
ARFink, I don't understand (AnneLine can be dense, I really understand....) Is it the phone case or one of those plastic clip-on things that you are burniing? And if someone wanted someting on THEIR phone, would they send you the back panel, or what? Could you just order a back panel, do the work and send it to them?
AnneLine
A thought... a lot of the VS people might be really into that (or even just a really nice folding stand?) (or a picture frame?) or (???) with some of the designs of their various religious communities etched into it... The Dominicans with their Dominican dog with the torch the Carmelites with a scapular or the Carmelite Crest, the Franciscans with either a Tau Cross or the cross and Francis' and Jesus' arms -- (I can give you samples of all of those if you don't know what I am talking about)... Allmost every religious family has those.... The Knights of Columbus.... you get the idea... .just a thought...... Christmas is coming....
Yes, I could order a new back or shell and engrave it and send it to them, or they could send me their existing phone back. Whichever. I know most people wouldn't want to have a backless phone for a week or more.

I did a Franciscan coat of arms thing for a friend who is a secular Franciscan not too long ago.
