Chrysophylax
Oh, the light is coming from a different direction on each of the keys? Or just that the lighting is really off in the center? Edited November 16, 2012 by Chrysophylax
arfink
There are two streaks, which are the highlights for the golden key, which also smudged into the silver key, going the wrong direction.
AnneLine
OK, in retrospect I think I saw that and discounted it. BAD AnneLine! So... the significance (if any?)
arfink
Well, I've been fascinated with how the occult seems to adopt deeply Christian and very ancient symbols, and how we can just as easily reclaim them. The cross, with no corpus, displayed upside down is the symbol for Peter. His keys would naturally have that sign on them. As for why I drew keys today, the idea of them popped into my head. I didn't want to work for a photo, and so I tried to compose something without one. It wound up a bit flatter than I would like, but came out OK just the same. AnneLine
Peter Upside down Cross... right.... forgot about that.... I'm totally into reclaiming the stuff that's been stolen. One of my favorite mantras regarding stuff comes from St. Maximilian Kolbe (when someone asked him if it was GOOD to use some of the modern technology.. suspect, you know....) He responded: "Why should we let Satan have all the good toys?" Exactly. They are OURS and we need to take them back.... You keep on drawing, ARFink! arfink
OK, I mentioned before I really like the DMC Delorean. I have found a car which I can honestly say I like more: the DeTomaso Pantera. It's hot. Nice lines, good mid-80's styling, pop up headlights, and the COLORS it came in! GOOD GRACIOUS! Edited November 16, 2012 by arfink

arfink
Sounds good. I'll put it in a padded envelope and send it your way. While I'm at it, I could put some world peace inside the trunk before I put it in the envelope, I bet the guys at the post office won't even notice. Thanks for the share on that, it's quite nice. The DeTomaso was a chance discovery, actually. I'm glad you enjoyed looking at it too. I might try to paint one, just because drawing cars is a good time any day.
