fides' Jack Posted September 10, 2012 Share Posted September 10, 2012 Just curious - I understand that annulments are proclaimed by the Church, and when they happen it means in effect that the marriage was never valid to begin with. Does the Church ever reverse an annulment? Say if someone lied in order to get annulled, and then went and told the truth later on... My first inclination is that the Church has the power to "rebind" as it were, but I don't know if there's an official position on the matter. CatherineM Posted September 10, 2012 Share Posted September 10, 2012 Yes, annulments can be appealed. It can get messy afterwards. One of the Kennedy's had their annulment overturned.
