ouch! Feel no pain, Chrys....

I<3LSOP - I can't imagine being 'told' to write one much less 15 poems! You have my prayers!

I have to finish a talk on the Crusades and how the Carmelties got started.... to deliver in 15 hours.... and I'm feeling ... uninspired.

But we can do this,..... hang in there people...

Mary+Immaculate<3

My current assignments for this week are simple Latin sentence translations, writing an essay on the crown jewels of England, worksheets on symbolism, character, and allusion in The Pearl by John Steinbeck, analyzing a vocal word, Geometry, a travelogue powerpoint, and reading 2 books of the Bible along with open-ended questions. I really don't care if no one reads this. I am just glad that I can spout it off, plusmit helps me to remember everything.

4 math lessons + 1 left over math lesson + 1 test + 2 days to do = Freak out

Mrs. R. has no clue that I save math for the last two days when she comes by to check our work and I hand it to her smiling.

Hullo members of the Study Club...

WELL... 12 more CHAPTERS of St. John of the Cross to get outlined by Friday for my Secular Order formation class... the one I TEACH. My own fault... I let it slip... kept putting it off... and then got a cold and have been too sick to study since late last week. Brother. Don't know what I am going to do for a conference on Friday....

I did get a hard-copy of last month's conference prepared for distribution & sent out last night.... and 4 CHAPTERS of John read and outlined yesterday. But today I just HAD to crash and sleep.

But I think I am going to have to get as far as I can get, tell them the truth :paperbag: on Friday (i.e., "it is very important to get into the habit of studying a little each day -- do as I say not as a I do -- or you, too, will be wearing this sexy headgear :paperbag: ") and promise them the rest by end of next week in email.

NOT a very tasty prospect.... but oh welll... humble pie is good....

Gonna go fix dinner for my husband and then sit down to outlining... and I'll keep you informed....

Oh -- and I have SEMINAR by Webinar on Thurs for Career Counseling continuing education... and I still need to listen to the recorded webinar of the 1st half of the class (it was delivered during the Sandy Storm, and we couldn't get the webinar to work properly) and I have to get someone to take a sample exercise and then help them understand the results... before 10AM on Thurs!. How does one hide in the back of the class in a webinar? I ask you? :paperbag:

How' it goin', I<3LSOP?

Funny thing happened over here... about 7 chapters into my outline (while I was PANICING that I would not be able to get done... decided to re-check HOW many chapters I was suposed to talk about on Friday?

And found out that... I'd been working on the class for JANUARY 2013.

I've already DONE the stuff for tomorrow's class..... :shocking:

Had webinar this morning. FORCED myself to be ready last night even though I've had a bad cold and DID NOT want to be ready for class.

Good thing I did... I was the ONLY one for the make-up webinar, so it was just me and the teacher. eeeeee...... sounded more-or-less like I knew what I was doing. Whew!

Wow AnneLine! Sounds like you have been working really hard! Good job!
I have a group project due next week and a term paper to do all before next week on Wednesday. The group project is not going so well!

I hate group projects... somebody always ends up having to do more than their share.... but spoken like a true introvert...

You can do this, Chrys.....

Reading Animal Farm, writing a poem for extra credit, and outlining my novel...

I have discovered that writing a novel.... takes a lot of writing.

Oh Man! I loved Goodbye Mr. Chips! I read that book in one day. The book report did take longer, though! Wow, you people seem to be reading all the same books for school that I read in high school!

Hey, thanks for the encouragement AnneLine! The group project will come out alright I think, but there is one girl who has not helped at all and never even came to any of our meetings. I didn't get any work done today, though because I was cleaning EVERYTHING. Although, I must say it is actually rather exhilarating to look at a really clean room! I took pictures to compare before and after because it was so bad!

Chrys, I'm glad I was of help! It is SO FRUSTRATING when someone won't carry their weight!!!!! I remember one 'group' project in grad school (GRAD SCHOOL!!!!) where I had to work with one other GRAD student (sheesh, one should know how to work in a pair by that point!!!) and she not only didn't know what she was talking about, she literally put her leg up on the teacher's desk the whole time she was talking, like a stork!!!! We got a 'b' on the project (small wonder!) but the teacher gave everyone in the class the option of re-doing the project for the missing credit. I ws all for it... she didn't want to be bothered! Said a "B" was fine by her!!! I finally went to the teacher and asked as, uh, delicately as I could if one of us wanted to do the makeup work, could we at least get uh, half the upgrade? She looked at me as if I had landed from another planet, and said, only ONE of you wants to make the changes? Uh, yes.... and she shook her head, glanced at the other student (who was the one who mucked up....) and said that of COURSE the 'remaining student' could turn in a revision for additional credit. I did get the "A"... she graduated that semester, and I don't have a clue what her GPA was.... Mind-boggling!

I LOVED Mr. Chips!!!!!!! Lost Horizon (also by James Hilton) is good, too......

Spending time doing some cleanup myself today, but having to pace myself because I have been REALLY sick this last week. One step at a time.....

Back to work...
