Chrysophylax
I'll say a prayer that you straighten it out. Papers never seem to do it for themselves. ;) Thanks! I'm sure it helped! I got in a good amount of the stuff I was trying to before I really just Had to submit it. Thanks everyone for all the prayers. It is finished. I feel pretty depressed though, because I think that is the worst paper I have ever written. (Unless you count things from before high school.) :hmmm: At least it is finished, I guess. Oh well, this will just spur me on to do more of my work ahead of time next time! There is nothing like doing horribly and knowing it is 100% all your own fault to make you want to try harder and do better. So thank you everyone again for all the prayers. I would have really panicked and lost it without them! ~Chryso
AnneLine
:saint2: ^^^^ Yup. Good for you. I'm just finishing my snack before doing my HOME WORK. So I am keeping to my revised promise... should be able to be done within next hour or so.... pray for me....

Just think of how much better it is than not turning it in at all!
Chrysophylax
I've always felt like that with most papers. I think it's just the nature of the thing. Just think of how much better it is than not turning it in at all! Yeah, I was consoling myself with that the whole time I was frantically trying to just finish the end and get it submitted before the time limit was up! And I have been thinking that since then... I am much happier today! I just finished half my homework after spending almost two hours on it. Now I am taking a short break before I write another philosophy paper. Luckily, this one is short and shouldn't be a big problem. :)
WillT
Ah yes, the post paper euphoria. Good luck on the philosophy paper! What's it about?
Chrysophylax
I just finished. It was actually fun! It was about the cosmological argument. It was easy! Probably because I enjoyed it.. I enjoyed it because ... many reasons. First, I understand the subject matter well. Second, I like Aquinas very much. And I really loved one of the supposed refutations of the argument, because it was in the form of a dialogue, and the one who was opposing the argument really couldn't give an adequate reason why and the other guy was just ripping his objections to shreds! It was great!! Oh, and it really helps that this paper was only supposed to be two pages! Easy!! :P
WillT
Nice. I think nearly all philosophy pages should be about 2 pages. Otherwise there's just too much fluff and filler. The cosmological argument was always fun to write on. It never seems to get a thorough enough treatment in my experience. Of course, my philosophy degree is from a public university so we tended to focus on the refutations a little more than the proofs. :)

I'm at a public university at the moment too. The good side is that knowing all the refutations usually only confirms me even more in what I believe. WillT
Absolutely! I also found that my philosophy professors were very fair to viewpoints that they didn't necessarily share. As long as you present a well-reasoned, well-structured argument they were happy. My English/humanities professors, on the other hand, were far less interested in opposition. At any rate, one of the most important parts of college is learning to work with those who have a different view.

Space Flight Ops is ok Astronomy is just painful (it is intro to astronomy so VERY basic stuff) Poster went well just have to do the other one now. Get feedback on my CV and do the essays for the scholarship and study for finals. And the HW for Space Ops.
