Blessed&Grateful
I grew up with Mercy nuns, I remember thinking/wondering if they were cut by the "stiffeness" of the habit. I think they've been mentioned before, but the Dominican-style habit + the Franciscan brown = [/quote] I love the SsEW habit!! They have a three knotted cord AND a fifteen decade Rosary Here's a funny story about them. I for a while was very seriously discerning with a Dominican community and my friends would always tease me that my habit would never stay white because when I eat I almost always spill on myself. When I told a friend that I was discerning with the SsEW and that they wear brown scapulars and capes she made a comment along the lines of my not needing to worry about getting my habit dirty if I end up with them. When I was on retreat with them I was helping them clean because I was about seven hours early one of them almost bleached her scapular. I told my friend this and she said "oh no! You can't win! knowing you it will either have food on it if it's light or have bleach spots if it's not!" I would have to say that the Children of Mary is my favorite! I love the purple and white, it's so beautiful! I also really like the Dominican habit and the Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters habit. JMJ+
