Favorite Religious Habit

i really like the Sisters of Life's habit.........but I also really like the Daughters of St Paul. They are at two totally different ends of the spectrum but.......yeahh

Mother Assumpta (now DSMME) and one of the Religious Sisters of Mercy of Alma spent a year with the Sisters of Life at the request of Cardinal O'connor for their formation.

The blue was for the Sisters of Mercy the white was for the Dominicans. (At the beginning the Sisters of Life wore a wheat colored garb)

I LOVE the SMMC habits. I also like the Daughters of St. Paul's habits...but they kind of remind me of postulants' outfits. I like them though, just because they certainly appear easier to work in than some other habits.

The Sisters of Life habit is - hands down - my absolute favourite! I love the design and I [u]especially[/u] love the blue! The DSMME/ND habits are also very beautiful.

Personally I'm not fond of their veils, however...

I also love the Religious of the Sacred Heart habit. Unfortunately, that order no longer wears the habit
But a reformed branch - The Religious of the Sacred Heart of Florence (see profile picture/avatar) - still wear it

I think it actually might be my favourite. It's a toss up between them and the Sisters of Life.

Yes to the Nashies and all the spin off habits, DSMME's, SOL etc.......
I like the Fransiscan Sisters of the Immaculate.
I have a real thing about black though, I don't like black habits......sorry my lovely Benedictines!
I like neutrals or blues.......oh, I don't know!!!!!
All of them.
If it's a habit and has a veil and hangs well, it gets my vote.

My favorite habit is that of my Sisters which I am still keeping a secret because I have not heard anything yet! Here's hoping I will soon!

I also like the Sisters of Life because of the Marian blue. The Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal have a nice habit though I would probably change the front of the veil by the face because I don't like the point.

The habits may have just looked different because you can't seem them from the front in this particular picture.

Yes that was it! The front of their habit does not make one suspect they have long beautiful veils! Reminds me very much of the Trinitarians of Mary, and fellow VSer AveMariaPurissima who will enter Saturday!
