I suppose it is like prison, he had to go beat up the biggest, baddest mutha in the yard on the first day, to get some cred, and hopefully avoid unwanted romance.

So I guess this now means that you, the emasculated challenger, are now his prison beesh and will be spending the duration of your sentence on you knees. Probably shining his shoes or something.

ебать

Ебать, что медведь.

Я хотел сказать: "ебать".

Я поздороваться с симпатичной девушкой. Надеюсь, она не скажет мне ебать себя.

Yeah, but you have to watch out for typing the word floopy as you can be warned for doing that, even if you have no knowledge what the f.i.l.ter is really screening.

They should have a list of the words that are screened, not using the whole profanity but like floopy is the eff word as I would have thought floopy would be s**t in some of the instances I have seen it used.

Why would we list all the banned words?

Also: there is a thread somewhere in which people have set about trying to find all the filtered words.

The OP just made a suggestion, you all don't have to be jerks about it.

The annoying part, Max, is that we used to be able to type a word (that was changed to flooping) and BE DONE WITH IT. The word typed wasn't the word used and we didn't have profanity everywhere. It made posts lighter and less edgy. It was a fun and creative way to deal with some less-than-gentle words being tossed around the phorum.

Now what's happened is we have a filtered word that, if used, will cause you warnings (which can lead to bans). People are now going to be BANNED over a word that was existing without problem for a very long time. Mind you, people don't have to be banned if they will just type out "flooping", but not everyone will know or catch on, and some will forget. Things like that happen when you've had something in place for a while (i.e. the flooping philter).

The bottom line is this: it's just dumb. A single person comes along and takes issue with a word defined by Urban Dictionary as "confused, in a state of inner turmoil" that we substitute for a harsher, more profane word, and now we all lose a fun fiddler, AND the joy of seeing someone's angry post turn to ridiculous mush.

To top it all off, the poster made the mistake of saying he wasn't telling dUSt how to run the phorum. Public post criticizing the way something has been handled and offering a "humble" suggestion to do otherwise = telling him how to run the phorum. Emphasis on public.

I'm an admin here and I support what dUSt does completely. I trust he has the best interest of the phorum at heart, and he teaches us spiritual lessons with some wacky decisions sometimes. So I trust him in this, but it doesn't mean we're all going to be really excited about it.

To the point of the original poster, I disagree. Frankly, the fiddlers do often make me think twice about the profanity I use on a daily basis -- especially when angry or otherwise disturbed. The fiddlers dUSt has put into place make me laugh, remind me not to take myself so seriously, and truly showcase how ridiculous profanity can be.

I do not think a public post in the "main" board was the best way to communicate a message directed at one person, the phounder of phatmass. In my opinion, this should have been a private correspondence, and in the future, I hope similar will be.

Not that I know what it says. I don't speak Mexican or whatever that language is. I just copy and pasted it off of a prayer site I frequent.

My beef really doesn't have anything to do with the topic of the OP, or any opinions for and against his proposition, I really don't care, but what got me was the tendency for phatmass, as a group to gang up on people and have a pages long frenzy of mockery.

There is a place for sarcasm and poking fun, I know I've been a part of it so maybe I'm being hypocritical, but I think phatmass crosses the line at times.

maybe I'm getting soft in my old age.

winchester, I see what you did there.
