If I am correct in interpreting that as a sarcastic or wry assertion that there is practically no difference between them, I would like to state that though they are very closely related media and originate from the same culture, there is indeed a subtle difference between them, which can be subjectively understood upon more exposure them.

This is not unlike the oft encountered assertion that "the book was much better than the movie."

Also, of course, these days the world of film often influences the writing styles of authors. Cf. the frequent observation that the writing of JK Rowling feels as though it was written as a film transcript.

Anime.

I'd forgotten about that post. Thanks. It made me laugh.

Thank you for taking your time to reply to me, sir. I am glad I could do you a bit of good by making you laugh.

However, if it is not too much of an inconvenience to you, I would be gratified to receive a more elaborate and reasoned response to my original reply to you.

Sadly, I'm in the self-gratification business.

Pigtails and metallic hair are both razzle dazzle. Note the absolute lack of being a cartoon, though.

Hijabs are for chicks. Specifically Muslim chicks.
[/quote]

Exactly. Now tell Futep that. His lilac-hijab-wearing shenanigans are what started this whole mess.

I find it kind of odd that we're mixing up an Islamic female piece of headgear with a broadly Arab, non-religious, distinctly masculine piece of headgear. :|
It's like going around telling traditional Scottish men that they're all wearing religious habits, just because they're kind of shaped similarly. :|
