To Jesus Through Mary

Last I heard (which was like 9 months ago) the Apostolic were still in good standing, but the contemplative branch was still struggling to nail out the details with the Holy See. From what I understand this is not schism issue... but more a canonical, new founding and let's-get-this-formation-right type of thing.

If it is a formation situation (JPII asked for a new document, called a Ratio - which spells out formation) then it's not that the contemplative branch is lacking "good standing". It's likely an issue of being recognized canonically as a community as a Diocesan or Pontifical institute -- or even that they are already so recognized but are still hammering out the details of their Ratio (as in the case of the communities who were already so recognized and now had to come up with another document.)
