MissyP89
Annie, a gentle thought... Maybe she feels scared or uncomfortable by what you say? I know you're very passionate about your faith, and she may be taking the conversations as you pushing too hard. Religion is a difficult, sticky topic sometimes. Especially when it's not your own. We talk about girls stuff like fashion, guys and music. I don't really talk about religion with any of my friends because it would be too awkward for them. I just try to avoid it. I'm not offended by the fact that we don't talk about religion, but I really am just curious. But, I'll just leave it alone for now. It's not really a big deal. phatcatholic
Okay...I see what everyone is saying. I think I'll just leave it alone for now. I don't want to hurt her by mistake or something. (not that I would). I guess I thought there was a black or white answer here, but I suppose there isn't until I talk to her.
So, why don't you want to just ask her about it? jazzytakara
This is seriously what Mormons believe: According to Jimmy Akin on Catholic Answers Live there is some theological debate over whether or not they will get a planet to rule over or a universe. Patrick Coffin said something like "I'm a universe person myself."
I think I finally understand the themes in The Twilight Series. emmaberry
Annie: I know this wasn't the intent in your OP, but maybe get a green scapular to her somehow and pray for her daily. Mormons, as some have said, often shame us Christians by acting way more Christ-like than we do. They have their reasons though, which I won't expand on since some of you already know and because this is not a Mormon tell-all thread. If the Church sets a standard for who is Christian, then I'm sticking with that. The Church also says that we should trust God's loving mercy.. We can trust Him to take care of Mormons and every other Christian 'fringe' group.
