Anomaly
Concerning LED lighting: Cree is making these teensy little LED "stars" that consume about 3 watts and pump out 800 lumens of white light. And those aren't even the most efficient models. I could make myself a flashlight with one that's the size of a ball point pen and would outshine the headlights on most cars. MWAHAHAHAHA
That's about equivalent to a 60 watt incandescent. The trick is also putting the light where you need it. Easier done with LED than fluorescent bulbs. The big push for fluorescents stunted demand for LEDs and companies spent less on development of fixtures and LED light sources. It's amazing what's been developed in the last few years. LouisvilleFan
What's wrong with ethanol subsidies and Solyndra? The Gov doesn't invest without a plan. It didn't allow that nasty Keystone pipe pump oil pollution into America.
Ethanol subsidies cause higher food prices for everyone, which only hurts the one billion people in our world living in destitute poverty. So the government stopped one pipeline? There are already about 2,000 such pipelines running all over our country. All they've done is force Canada to build their pipeline to their Western coast and sell that oil to Asia. Of course, that story is far from over, and also a bit too complicated to summarize in soundbite or two.
