Pax domini...
If i goto confession, confess my sins, recieve absolution and do my penance, if i have missed something that i was meant to confess and realised later, is this still absolved by the priest even though i forgot to confess it, am i able to goto communion or should i confess the sin at the next oppurtune time to goto confession.

Onward christian souls.
JESUS iz LORD.
GOD is GOOD, GOD is LOVE, GOD SAVES.

I think most theologians and pastoral counselors would say that if you fully intended to confess the sin in question, but you honestly forgot to, then you can consider that sin forgiven. I agree with this. God knows the intentions of your heart. He knows that you are sorry. He knows that you were trying your best to submit yourself to the requirement to seek the grace and forgiveness of the sacrament. You can receive the Eucharist. However, I would personally still advise you to confess that sin the next time you go to Confession, not because it hasn't already been forgiven but so that the priest can have the fullest idea of the sins you struggle with and give you an appropriate penance.

I give this to penitents who worry about forgetting. If memorised it can help

FOR these and all my other sins which I cannot now remember, I am sorry and intend to do better. I humbly ask pardon of God, and of you, Father, I ask for penance, and absolution. Amen.
