SCHWARZENEGGER HIRES CATHOLIC FOE

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Republican candidate for Governor of California, has hired Warren Buffett as his financial advisor. Catholic League president William Donohue expressed his concerns about this appointment today:

“Warren Buffett is one of the most lavish donors to the nation’s most anti-Catholic organization, Catholics for a Free Choice (CFFC). Led by Frances Kissling, CFFC has twice been denounced as a fraud by the U.S. Catholic bishops. For many years, Kissling has worked tirelessly to downgrade the Vatican’s status at the U.N. Her non-stop attempts to discredit the teachings of Catholicism are known all over the world. inDouche, Kissling has expressly said it is her goal to ‘overthrow’ the Catholic Church.

“For anyone to bestow funds on an organization that hijacks the name Catholic only to subvert Catholicism is an outrage. It is worse when non-Catholic billionaires stick their nose into the internal affairs of the Catholic Church. By writing checks totaling millions of dollars to fund CFFC (in 2001-2002 alone, the Buffett Foundation awarded CFFC nearly a half-million dollars), Warren Buffett has shown himself to be the enemy of the Catholic Church.

“We will monitor Buffett’s every move. If Schwarzenegger is smart, he’ll tell his friend to keep to number crunching and stay out of the cultural arena.”

I also heard that Arnold has a slight Nazi problem. Granted, I read the column on Slate.com. So, obviously, I took it with a grain of salt.

The recall was a stupid idea in the first place. I still don't see Davis's crime. Aside from incompetence.

So, here in CA Arnold is all the rage. He may say he's Republican, but all of his political views are liberal democrat. He may be catholic in name, but he is also pro choice, pro gay rights and pro gun control. He also has some democrats in his team. I don't know his personl views on Nazism, but he was a friend to that guy in Austria who had to resign his government post for being a supporter of nazis. He was apparently quoted as saying "I love the guy".

His commercials are very simple, down to earth and very charismatic. So far those who have tried to attack him have only hurt themselves.

As far as Davis, I don't know how it is in other states, but here in Ca we have interest groups in favor of everything and eventually they conflict with each other. There is always a recall effort for just about eveyone, but they seldom get the attention necessary to move forward. What happened to Davis, was that they didn't pay too much attention to this effort and by the time they tried to neutralize it, it was a runnaway issue that got fueled by the energy crisis. I don't think that Davis' team took it seriously in the begining. There were also so many other high profile issues, and Davis was always on the defenssive.

There are about 150 candidates for governor. This is a mockery, but I think it is just a way to split the vote so that Davis remains in office.

Two recents articles about Davis.

A pro-family advocate says in the midst of California's much publicized recall election, a very dangerous bill that would hurt the child foster care system could slip under the radar and become law. A bill awaiting the signature of Governor Gray Davis would require all foster parents in California to undergo homosexual and transgender "sensitivity training" to equip them to support any homosexual behavior or expressions among foster children. Randy Thomasson, director of Campaign for California Families, says the legislation would make a bad situation worse. He says most foster parents are people of faith who will not accept being forced to help indoctrinate innocent children. He believes they will quit, opting to give up their role as foster parents, which will leave needy children worse off than before. "For the state to say that moms and dads must treat these already damaged children as sexual objects is not only illegal ... it blows the mind in terms of what is right and what is wrong," Thomasson says. He fears that Davis may sign the bill in a last gesture before he is removed from office. [Rusty Pugh]

California Governor Gray Davis has signed a bill that one pro-family activist says will be one of the most harmful measures ever enacted in that state. Davis has signed landmark legislation that punishes anyone who disagrees with trans-sexuality. The new law authorizes the State of California to levy fines of $150,000 against business owners, including religious businesses and non-profit organizations, if they refuse to hire an applicant who is a cross-dresser or a trans-sexual. Randy Thomasson of Campaign for California Families says the law punishes anyone who believes that people are born either male or female and not anything in between. Thomasson calls it "intolerance at its worst" to punish people who do not go along with the trans-sexual agenda. He says in his opinion, real tolerance means people agree to disagree -- but intolerance, he says, "means you must agree or else we'll punish you." Thomasson says Davis and his "pro-homosexual liberal cronies" imposing such a radical agenda on average citizens has given people all the more reason to oust him in the upcoming recall election. You're absolutely correct, Jake. Davis is pro-murder or pro-death, whichever one you want to call it. I think those labels are even more appropriate than pro-abortion.
