That habit looks impractical, although the Sister is a better judge than I, as I am having a hard time understanding what the charism and apostolate of this community is. Looks like green brocade, with a chapel veil under the outer veil. That description is gleaned from the other VS thread on this community.

Thanks for posting! It is great to see so many new communities for mature vocations.

Very interesting. Do you happen to know how many are in the community at present?

The newsletter seems to indicate 3: the foundress and two in early formaiton.

Thank-you, Lisa. I guess I was confused because all the new communities I know (I'm in Canada) were required to have more than one person (usually at least 4) who had lived the new community's life in common before even beginning the process of being recognised by their Bishop, taking vows and wearing a habit. Perhaps the rules are different elsewhere.

I could be wrong, though! If someone were interested, it would be best to contact the community!

Not drawn to this community myself, but always interesting to see how new communities get their start.

This order, Daughters of Divine Hope, happens to be my aunt...who has begun this new religious community. If you have any questions about this community...please do not hesitate to PM me.

God Bless.

Allie, could you perhaps share publicly the charism and mission of your aunt's new order? Do you know what inspired her habit?

The main charism is spreading the message of Hope.

The community will also seek out the gifts and talents of each individual and will serve in those capacities always open to the Holy Spirit`s guidance and open to however the Lord calls them to serve Holy Mother Church. Following fully the teachings and magisterium of the Catholic Church.

The reason the habit is green is because that its the color of hope...clothed in a traditional habit.

Any other questions please PM me.

God Bless,

Allie
