aha, now that I think about it I think we've had this discussion before. Have you contacted Dr. Paul's congressional office about this (and asked others in your district to do so as well)? Have you asked him to do something specific (propose legislation, vote on some kind of legislation, et cetera)? Is there something he could practically do that he has refused to do? I'm sure it's a possibility that because he's been busy campaigning for president he could have neglected something, I don't know the details, it's also likely that a single congressman can't cut through all that federal croutons on his own. It sounds like the ingrained mentality of Federal meddling is messing with your city... if you're just looking for Dr. Paul to make a symbolic stand it's likely he's too busy campaigning for that kind of thing... what kinds of things can a federal congressman do to overcome that kind of red tape that's been ingrained by existing federal legislation?

Anyway, I'm not entirely sure I understand what you're requesting that Dr. Paul should specifically do, but if you're just bitter about him being too busy with a Presidential campaign to get directly involved in that local problem, I might understand it but I don't think it's relevant to bring up in any discussion about his Presidential bid. Did he vote wrong on some peice of legislation related to this problem in Congress? Is there some legislation he could have introduced that he refused to that would have helped resolved that situation?
