Norseman82
I know youse all probably think I'm an old-fashioned geezer who just needs to take his metamucil, but I believe that tattoos are the province of the men and earrings/piercings are the province of the women. (Not that any of you single ladies have to worry about either with me, so there's another selling point for me). I personally hate tattoos and do not know why anyone would want to ruin their body like that, but I'm not paid to know why people do stuff. Ed Normile
Personally I would not, I have seen some beautiful women with tattoos but I always think about some of the women I seen years ago in Gibsonton Fl., its the winter home for the circus people. These women who were 50+ years old with tattoos on sagging, wrinkled flesh. Disgusting. ed

[/quote] It is typical for the Coptic Orthodox to tattoo a small Coptic Cross on their wrist. It is both devotional and, at least it has been interpreted this way, in order to identify them if they're victims of religious violence.
