Laudem Gloriae
Mother sent me this book a few months ago that the former prioress put together for their 100 year Centenary celebration - July 16h 1911 to July 16th 2011 - and for vocational use that was recently back from the printers. It gives a great look at their life, the monastery, etc. The some of the pictures of the nuns are are a bit old - some of these sisters went to the foundation they in Albania a while ago and some are more recent. Picture 31 is the back of our Aya Sophia as a postulant in the darkened choir and in 24 up front in another choir picture. I have a cell phone that takes sad pictures! So these aren't the greatest. What I did was to take one or more of some pages if there was a lot on the page or text that wasn't legible in just one picture and even then maybe not! I will have to borrow a digital camera and retake these, so much clear detail is lost. These pictures are in order from the front cover to the back cover. EmilyAnn
That's Kirk Edge, right? I think that's where Laudem Gloriae is entering as well. It looks so beautiful!

Laudem Gloriae
Is the postulant on Picture 42 Aya?
No, that's not Aya. This picture, 42, is one of the older ones. Aya is only in pics #s 31 and 24. As I posted in the thread about "What do you want your religious name to be", I have known Aya for a few yrs before she entered Kirk Edge the first time (I miss her emails!) and the Mother sent me a picture of her on her clothing day in her novice habit and mantle but I don't have the OK to show it by her or Mother so I am not. She was clothed this past end of May. But she looks beautiful in her habit and the rope alparagates they make and wear (after St. Teresa of Avila). Her face is so radiant and joyful - so bright! She is waiting for me in the novitiate so I hope to go soon! Edited August 21, 2012 by Laudem Gloriae

Maybe Mother will give the OK to someone to post pics of Aya once she is professed.
