Maybe the Fathers of Mercy? Their apostolate is preaching, but they do a lot in the liturgical sense, and I do not believe they do the Latin Mass. Other than that the only other Community that is dedicated to the liturgy and the liturgy alone is the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter, or FSSP, and they do the Extraordinary Form of the Mass only, unfortunately.

Well why does your friend doesn't learn how to have a better understanding of the Tridentine Mass? It's always tough the first 6 months, but then once you're in it, you see all the richness of this magnificent rite.

The SJM celebrate very reverently (at least the priests I know). They are biritual, their priests have to learn both EF and OF. For their private Mass they can choose. And in public it depends on what is wanted. In France they have a parish where they celebrate both (oh yeah, forgot to mention, they are only in Europe). Many of the priests like the EF more though.

I agree, but actually it's not my friend in question. Don't worry though, I know you are a new and it is kind of confusing around here at first.

I know a couple Fathers of Mercy priests who offer the EF Form almost exclusively now. But for the most part, the OF form is the norm for the rest of the congregation, though I'm sure some offer it on and off.. which reminds of another one who also offers the EF Form, whom I believe is chaplain to the Benedictines of Mary, or was at some point.. Fr. Christopher Henderson, CPM.
Perhaps also.... the IVE Fathers? Beautiful liturgies, solid spirituality, focusing on Sp. Exercises of St. Ignatius, Priestly & lay formation... parishes... might be a good fit....

This is a good suggestion (along with the Western Province OCDs & OPs) although he would have to discern if he feels called to preach the Spiritual Exercises. I'm not sure if all of them do though. They are definitely in parishes though :like:

Another group somewhat like them are the priests and brothers of Miles Christi, http://www.mileschristi.org/ I have never heard of them offering the EF Form, only OF, but they do so very reverently and ad orientem.. and always have kneelers when distributing Holy Communion. They are very much focused on the Liturgy and have a special love for Gregorian chant. They are not however in parishes at all. They focus mainly on the Spiritual Exercises and Days/Evenings of Recollection, etc. They have a number of new American men in formation.

Studium: While I identify with your love of the beautiful Tridentine Mass, don't you think that its beauty is even more of a reason for reverent priests to celebrate the Norvus Ordo? That may sound backwards, but everytime I attend the Tridentine, I think of all the people who won't attend the Tridentine Mass (it's not offered in their area, they just don't understand it, etc) and I feel this hope that they too will experience the reverence and beauty of the Tridentine Mass in the Norvus Ordo Masses they attend.

Reverent priests are greatly needed for each form of the Mass today, but they are needed more for the Norvus Ordo, since this is the Mass that suffers the most from irreverence.

To Jesus Through Mary

I know I keep bring up this religious family (more then a bit bias... I know) but the Institute of the Incarnate Word (IVE) are very liturgically centered. All in the OF but super reverent. The most beautiful liturgies I have ever seen.

Super balanced guys... that's why I think they are so fab!

I never met a Canon of St. John who wasn't a perfect gentleman -- I am so impressed by their decorum (and "normalness") both during the Mass and in regular conversation. :)
