PhuturePriest
At times such as tonight I sometimes have worries about things such as good ACT scores and what-not to enter seminary, so I take them to prayer. When I do I think about the problem, talk about how anything is possible with God if it is in his will, and suddenly I feel better and as if I do not have a worry in the world. I feel this way for a while, and when I get worried again I simply repeat, and it always seems to work. But I got to thinking: Is this divine help, thinking things through, or a bit of both? Nihil Obstat
In my experience, prayers of this sort are usually answered without you really realizing it. You pray for something, trust in God's love, and then several months later perhaps you look back and realize that actually your prayer was answered. Perhaps through your prayers God is offering you extra grace with which to clearly analyze and respond to whatever situations you're facing. morostheos
I think of it as God helping you by giving you the grace to think things through and trust Him.
