jazzytakara
I was wondering if anyone had any book, video, etc. recommendations for me. I am taking RCIA this fall and currently reading the Youcat (amazing so far), does anyone else have any suggestions that would be good for me to read as I grow closer to being confirmed? =) I have my first Catholic Bible too, I'm making sure to read the books I missed out on in the United Church of Canada, currently on Sirach. mortify
Peace in Christ Jazzy, welcome home! I would recommend Theology for Beginners and Theology and Sanity by Frank Sheed, Fundementals of Catholic Dogma by Dr Ludwig Ott, The Spiritual Life by Alphonse Tanquerey, Treasures of Catholic Wisdom by Fr Hardon,

Lil Red
i have some suggestions for going deeper with your prayer - it'll have to wait until i have a second to look at those books.
Basilisa Marie
I can second Theology for Beginners by Sheed. It might feel a little dense, but it's the first book my high school theology study group did to make sure we filled up any major holes in our education. Prayer for Beginners by Peter Kreeft is what I go to when I'm feeling super spiritually dry and need to go back to basics.
Amppax
I haven't proofed this yet, but it was recommended by Scott Hahn, so it's probably pretty good. http://pillarsofcatholicism.com/

LinaSt.Cecilia2772
Anything by Mark Hart. He's great at explaining things about Scripture in Ask the Bible Geek series, and in his other books such as the R Father and Blessed are the Bored in Spirit. Gabriela
I don't do a lot of heavy stuff, but I suggest subscribing to Magnificat for six months (their shortest subscription period, I think), just to get familiar with how prayers change over the course of the calendar. I also really like Lighthouse Media's monthly CDs; they're good driving-listening. Below are some of the favorites from my "Catholic" favorites folder. I personally felt it important to get familiar with "Catholic culture", hence the sites like Ask Sister Mary Martha. If you also think this is important, you could sign up for Twitter feeds from Catholic news outlets. That'll give you a good idea of what Catholics find important, what's going on in the Catholic world of late, etc. Amazon for PhatMass [OF COURSE] Latin Lessons New Latin Grammar (Allen and Greenough's) Catholic Freebies Interlinear Latin Mass MEF Guide Diocesan Map, USA Directory of Catholic Orders Defenders of the Catholic Faith Word on Fire [videos; good breakfast-watching] Hierarchy of the Church Biblical Evidence for Catholicism St. Paul Center For Biblical Theology (Scott Hahn) Canon Law Blog OSV Catholic Library PhatMass [OF COURSE] American Catholic Ask Sister Mary Martha Bible on Audio Spirit Juice Studios Musica Sacra Catholic Library Hidden Treasure General Instruction of the Roman Missal Catholic Lists Crescat Catholic Memes Sancta Missa: MEF Videos
Aragon
"This is the Faith" by Fr Francis Ripley is amazing. It played a large role in my conversion. It's not a work of apologetics but rather a comprehensive overview of what Catholics believe and why they believe it. Definitely worth checking out.
