I almost finished the had part of the hat, only to realize I screwed up on the first row. So, I had to unravel it all.

Check your rows before you move on to the next one? I shouldn't try to give advice on this though, I have learned to both knit and crochet but have never actually made anything with either.

Turns out starting over wasn't so bad--I was able to make it a little bigger, which is a good thing. I'm not sure the original size would've fit in a month! But I'm most of the way done with the hat. Just need to attach the pieces, get some buttons for the eyes, and add ties. It's ADORABLE!

But I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for what I could use for a torch for the St. Dominic puppy, since he needs to set the world ablaze. Also, does anyone know where I might be able to find a globe stress ball, or other ball that looks like Earth and won't be destroyed by being slobbered on by a baby?
