Getting A Letter Ready For Vs Postulant Sr Marigold

I've already posted this in VS, but I know some of you don't go there often.

One of our Phatmassers, Sr. Marigold, entered an Orthodox monastery a few months ago.

Some/many of you may recall the struggles she had to get permission from Homeland Security to emigrate to enter -- they seemed to think that cloistered nuns in long black robes sounded danagerous....

She made me PROMISE to not give out her actual name or the name/location of her monastery, except that it is in the Eastern United States.

I agreed to be her contact for any letters or small packages that PhatPholk want to send her way. She won't be able to respond more than once or twice a year at best, but we can at least stay connected with her.

I'm getting ready to send her a note around August 20. I can hold off a little longer if needed... but not much longer as I want to get it to her before Orthodox pre-Christmas fasting starts -- don't know if her community will get mail then; many Western communities don't do so during Advent.)

So..... if you want to send along a greeting or note, you can do any of the following:

1) include a comment in this thread (or the one on VS) and I will print it off and drop it into the envelope.

2) send me a PM and I will print it off and drop it into the envelope. I will hold anything you include in the PM in strict confidence.

3) PM me for a snail mail address. That will let you send a personal letter. PM me if you want details on this one...
