Birthday Presents For Discerners

I tried to double prop what nunsense said but it wasn't possible. Definitely, that is one of the things I'm struggling to find right now, there are plenty of options but as far as fees go I'm trying to find the best deal so a phone card would be awe-some. Especially if they do a lot of calling and don't want to go over minutes (don't know how their cell phones are set up)

Hm, there is this girl. Her birthday is in a few days. Her name starts with a C, I believe? She is on this really razzle dazzle rap site.
I think it's Catholic too!! Her birthday is after the feast of St. Clare. ;)

Yes. I suspect a 3 letter med test is out of my budget... but I bet a gift card or two would be a wonderful BD present.....

Thanks for demonstrating how subtle I am. :| I may as well have just said,

"My friend's birthday is coming up on September 14, the feast of the Exultation of the Cross, her name starts with a 1 and ends with a 1, and she's really razzle dazzle and amesome."

Oh, if this is for the171 then forget everything I said. How about a few examination of consciences instead? ;)

I have no ideas to offer, sorry, as I need some myself!
My friend is leaving for the seminary soon. I'd like to get him something special, and practical, but can't think of anything.
I'm a on low budget, too, unfortunately, so that limits me to "cheap" and "makeable"

*edit: I can't type

If/when I go to Seminary, I would much rather have something cheap but means something special instead of an expensive gift. I would treasure a homemade Rosary that was made specially for me over a $150 Rosary any day. Just think of something special like a blessed holy card of a Saint that he is close to, and he'll be very thankful.

Well, I know what I'm getting Friend #1. Still unsure about Friend #2. Any last minute ideas, getting both of their presents tomorrow, so suggest quickly!

I will tell you people what they got after their birthdays as Friend #1 so happens to be on the phorum, as she ever so kindly pointed out.

I'm probably not much help, but my birthday was recently and I asked for a DVD of The Nun's Story and a subscription to The Word Among Us with the Mass readings and daily meditations. I asked for other things and got everything on my list.

You could find out what their favorite saint is and get a medal and a holy card. This is what I gave a seminarian who recently served at our parish before he left. Or, you could get a CD of rosary meditations. My mom has one and LOVES praying the rosary on the way to work during the week.

What I got for my male friend who is discerning is a pack of Charmin Ultra soft and a boat load of holy cards I found. I know him so well.
