How many phatmassers are soccer players (or once were)*? Still in love? DID YOU SEE THAT GAME?!

I think I left a piece of my heart on the field, and I intend to go back and reclaim it -- my heart AND the field. I want back in. BADLY.

You?

*It's really super amesome if you play something else or love another sport, but please respect that I am starting this thread to talk about association football (otherwise known as soccer). Thank you!

I love soccer. Unfortunately, I made a decision long ago to play basketball instead. But I love playing still. Actually, I'm playing tomorrow night!

I am Madly in love with true football (id est Soccer). But I was unable to see the game...

And I agree if you really love the Game there is something about it that when you play life seems Complete.

Franciscan, I gotchu. I played since I could walk, and entered the "club" scene when I was 11. Played in high school, too. Quit when I was 17 in order to focus more on school, and snatch that scholarship!

But yes. I miss it DEARLY. To compensate, I play intramurals, but we all know they're just not the same!

No, I think she means playing.

i used to play soccer, infact it resonates in what i believe to be my spiritualality. My game is soccer and i play in the midfield,my greatest joy is feeding the ball to another person to score a goal, there is little joy for myself when i have to score a goal, but a great joy when another scores a goal from my feed. I had played left wing forward before but still was about setting up goals. I had a relatively good cross with my left foot and i'm right footed.

So excited some of you piped up! Will respond later.

BTW: watching, playing, WHATEVER. I just love people that love football (soccer).

Abby Wombach got punched in the face vs. Colombia and that made me sad :(. That's all I've seen of soccer during the olympics though. I prefer world cup, but don't have cable and don't often get to see any games ever :(

you like foosball, imperetive that you like foosball and love god and your neighbour. :) I used to enjoy foosball also, my whole age group was so keen on it we could even do razzle dazle tricks and moves, we where so skilled we should have been taken over seas to compete, i did a few in and outs in my foosball socialising, that is when the ball hit the metal net and pops back out, that takes a heck of alot of timing to do dat, except fluke, possibly i fluked it a few times. Also most tables in my city had dents and cracks on the back wall of the table. Most in my age group also used to like street fighter and daytona. Arcades are dead now, there is only one or 2 left in the city i dwell, sony playstation and x-box etc have killed em. I think opening up a coffee style joint with pool, snooker, foosball, checkers, chess and card tables (not casino games just tables for playing cards.) may become relatively popular, if they where kept one per area, north, south, east, west and central.
