ToJesusMyHeart
Okay, disclaimer: I have no idea if the following article is true or not, and that's basically why I'm posting this thread. I need clarification and explanation for the accusations made against Archbishop Gerhard Mueller in this article... Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
Eucharist: In 2002, bishop Müller published the book "Die Messe - Quelle des christlichen Lebens" (St. Ulrich Verlag, Augsburg). In the book, he says : "In reality, the body and blood of Christ do not mean the material components of the human person of Jesus during his lifetime or in his transfigured corporality. Here, body and blood mean the presence of Christ in the signs of the medium of bread and wine." Unsure what is wrong with his stance here about the precious body and blood, he still believes jesus is present, possibly mind, heart, body and soul he just didn't say that but believes that. Just like everyone sometimes we forget to explain ourselves fully.
Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
In his 900-page work "Katholische Dogmatik. Für Studium und Praxis der Theologie" (Freiburg. 5th Edition, 2003), Müller says that the doctrine of the Perpetual Virginity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is "not so much concerned with specific physiological proprieties in the natural process of birth [...], but with the healing and saving influence of the grace of the Savior on human nature." Unsure how to comment on this because it seems here " of birth [...]" you have left out half of what he has said. I think the holy mothers viriginity is a matter of faith and morals, thats what you getting at yes. One can not tell fully what he is getting at because the rest of his message is missing. A bishop was stood down in my country recently for assumably him saying if the vatican allows women to be ordained he will continue to follow her, which is not possible to have priests that are women for we have nuns, and it has been spoken on as a matter of faith and morals. I guess the vatican talks to such priests and gives them so much time to change there views and than acts.
cappie
Pope Benedict knows the brief and work of the CDF as well as anyone can, since he was the Prefect for nearly a quarter of a century. It is unlikely that he would choose someone out of harmony with his own vision. Not only is the new Prefect German, but Müller also has been involved with the preparation of the editions of the complete works of Joseph Ratzinger. Müller begins his tenure as Prefect on the eve of the Year of Faith, which is clearly an important project for Benedict. The Holy Father must see in Müller, as Prefect of “Faithâ€, someone who can advance that project. Müller has made some statements about clerical celibacy and Mariology that have a few people scratching their heads. That said, his job is to make things run smoothly at the Congregation, not to shape the Church’s doctrine. Edited August 6, 2012 by cappie
Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
but i also would like to add if he has some heretical tendencies than possibly the vatican already has it's eye on him. You could tell your concerns to your ordinary confessor or any priest. Edited August 6, 2012 by Tab'le Du'Bah-Rye
