Catholic Slurs

I really like 'baby-sprinkler'.

I feel like it's supposed to invoke thoughts of child abuse.

All I can think of is this video: http://www.ebaumswor...watch/81652991/

That and putting like those jimmie-sprinkles on babies and watching them try to pick them up and eat them.

And that's not child abuse, that's just cute.

This. By my Episcopalian grandmother. When I was like 6.

My Pentecostal grandmother said I'd never graduate high school and I'd go to hell. When I was 12.

Been called "Catholic-not-Christian" maybe a couple times. That's when I call them a Protestant and hear them squirm. "I'm not a Protestant, I'm a Christian!!"

I was also indirectly referred to as a "Catholic nerd" in a derogatory manner by someone in campus ministry. (Indirectly because they were describing my friend.. But they didn't know me well enough at that point to know that we were friends or that the same description could be applied to me.) It's weird when a Catholic calls someone else out for being too Catholic.

Oh, and "religious people," by Protestants. Religious is a bad word nowadays, apparently.

Yeah, it's funny how people get uncomfortable around people who are really strong in their faith. I was in a car with a non-Catholic friend driving, and another convert in the back seat. When our discussion moved towards faith and morals, he got kinda quiet and mentioned something to the effect of, "I'm in a car with two of the most Catholic people I know."

"Mary-worshipers"
"Roman candle"
II've never heard "Roman candle" before. Creative maybe but it doesn't sound derogatory?

Anyway, I've been called...

. Mary worshiper
. demon-worshiper

That's pretty much it, actually.
