Catholic Slurs

I'm bored and I want to hear some of the best anti-Catholic slurs you've heard.

You can include the old standbys as well.

I'll start off:

Caesaropapism/Papocaesarism (I'm still not sure what was meant by these, but I felt that offense was intended)

Incense-huffing Vaticanite

Then there are the many variations of "fish eater"

What have you all got?

I've always heard papist is a slur, though I personally (to my memory) have never heard someone use it.

Papist is always a good standby.

Popish is a good one, too, that I just remembered.

nothing too inventive.... just variations of "you're from a family of 10? oh, so your parents must have been good Catholics then, huh?"

i have had the term "breeder" applied to me.

Watermelon smasher.
Rubbish monger.
Glue sniffer.
Hanger muncher.

And these are just off the top of my head.

Are those actual Catholic slurs or are they just what your friends call you?

I don't know about names being called, but I've been asked if I hate children (because of my discernement), if I hate men (also because of my discernment), if there is a reason I want to turn my back on the world (because of my discernment). Just a couple of insults. Haha. Oh, my atheist/agnostic grandma likes to rub the LCWR all over my face too.

Most people I knew were too "sophisticated" to use real slurs. They just used different phrases.
"Oh, you're just a Public-Schooler."
"Yeah, but you're a girl, so..."
"Missionary-Dater."

Oh, wait, you're probably talking about ones I got for being Catholic, not from other Catholics, right?

Goodie-Two-Shoes.
Prude.
Closed-Minded sheep.
Brainwashed.
Ignorant.

There we go. :hehe2:

There's also these, but while not all of them apply specifically to Catholics, Catholics are still labeled as such.
"Homophobes"
"Pedophiles"
"Mary-worshipers"
"Jesus freak"
"Roman candle"
"taig"
"tim"
"baby sprinkler"
I'm also pretty sure I've heard "ash-head" or ash-face"

I think Jesus Freak was appropriated as a compliment by Christians in the 90s. :)

At least, that's what DC Talk would love me to believe.

Mmm, I've been called:

Prude
Good-Girl
Too Catholic

And all of that, I was called by another Catholic. Yeah. Burns, eh?
