Hi all. I'd like to inform you about the tragic death of one of our dear phatmass members.
Maybe you haven't noticed him very much since he was not too active on the phorum, nevertheless he had become a real important friend to me as we exchanged many private contacts and we developped a real deep friendhisp, even if at long distance.
I'm speaking about the phatmass member called CatholicWing (for his page, see here):
http://www.phatmass....5-catholicwing/.
I want to share with you some informations about him.
I do not want to reveal his real name publicly as he lived in a country where christians are persecuted and I wouldn't want his family could have problems for my fault.
He had a wife and three children. He was a benedectine oblate. His wife's brother is preparing to become a priest (God willing he will be ordained next year). He had a very hard life since he was persecuted for his beliefs and could never find a job due to this. He suffered from depression due to his unlucky situation, but he could have beautiul moments with his family too.
Unfortunately it was in one of these moments that he happened to die, as his seminarian brother-in-law wrote to me to inform me about his death:

hi,
dear how are you. First of all sorry for late reply. As you know all about CW. He was in trouble. In may he was at home for some time. He planned with his cousins and friends. to go for swimming to the river. There they were enjoying the swimming. There on of his friends slipped in deep water then my cousins tried to save him but he hold his hands and both were drowning. In order to save his friend and cousin CW tried to save them but he could not. So CW also could not control his balance and flow of the river became faster at once and he could not make it. they are four who who are drowned three dead bodies are got but one body is still missing. CW's dead body was got after one month.Kindly pray for their families and departed souls.

Thank you dear for your concern.

And this is the last email CW wrote to me:

Hi organwerke,
I have no words to say you thanks.......... When i was reading your email, my tears just went out....................
Thanks for your unconditional love.................
Organwerke! i have nothing but i just can offer you prayers................ do you have any special intention that i can keep that in my prayers...........
Yes at this time, i am very sure that we will be success.
Again thanks you very much for all your kindness.

The reason for he thanked me so much is because I tried to help him to get a visa to visit my country and a benedectine community in it where he could have deepened his vocation as an oblate of st. Benedict. Twice we tried to apply to obtain the visa and twice we failed. He tried also to attend WYD in Madrid last year but Spanish government blocked all the visa for persons coming from CW's country.
As for the email, we were trying for ask for the third time for a visa, and this time we had many hopes because we had found a very reliable sponsor and we had many guaranties. Unfortunately, his death occurred before he could know the exit of this third process.
Please pray for him and his family as they surely are in a difficult situation, and pray also for his brother-in-law who is preparing to become a priest.

So many prayers. I never knew him, but my heart is full of sorrow knowing that a Phatmasser was lost.

:(

Phatmass supported him a while back when we sold the saint bracelets he sent us from his country.

That's a shame. I only talked to him a few times in chat but he seemed like a really nice guy.
