Tally Marx
Hello, fierce! Welcome to the phorum. Don't eat too many tacos while you are here, beware the evil fiddler, and if you haven't already, develop a love for ponies. If you do these things you should have much fun. Pax et bonum! Not A Mallard
Welcome to the phamily! I'd build you a cake, but the technology to physically transport an object through a computer screen has yet to be invented. Plus, I don't remember how to build a cake

filius_angelorum
Hmm, fierce, I think you are with a strange group of Catholics where you have to be in hiding, even now. Maybe I have just been incredibly fortunate, but I have never been around friends who, if I told them that I was homosexual or bisexual, would be critical. There are indeed challenges for those who have homosexual tendencies, but I have never known other Catholics to be among them. You sound like you've got a good head on your shoulders, though, so I will assume that you know what you are talking about.
Nola Seminarian
As you can tell by my picture we like to smoke a nice pipe, wear a classy fedora, and read the Christian philosophy of dead British cats such as lewis and Chesterton around here. If your interests include these things then you'll do well here Also epic gotees

fierce
Hmm, fierce, I think you are with a strange group of Catholics where you have to be in hiding, even now. There are indeed challenges for those who have homosexual tendencies, but I have never known other Catholics to be among them. You sound like you've got a good head on your shoulders, though, so I will assume that you know what you are talking about.
I am happy for those who have faith communities around them who would not have judgement and who would support them as they support any other. I am not, however, in that position. I love my parish very much and the people who make it up. I do not, however, feel comfortable sharing the information. Only a handful know and most of them encourage me to keep quiet about it. I'm sure their insistence is easily explained, but I don't ask. There are people at my parish who understand and believe what the Church teaches and act accordingly. Then there are those who don't understand and don't act accordingly, or those who think they understand and (because they don't) do not act accordingly. It's just too much. It's too messy. And frankly, it's no one's business. When I see that it can help someone else or when I feel the pain of hiding that piece of me is too much, I share. Otherwise, it's my secret. The most frustrating part is trying to explain Church teaching regarding homosexuality and homosexual action to people who empathize so much with the very things I feel. They are straight and empathize and here I am, gayer than gay (you know what I mean), trying to tell them I GET IT, but it's still not okay -- and all without telling them that I myself am gay. Talk about exhausting.
Hola!! again.
Hi.
