Byzantine
There's a passage somewhere in the Torah about ascertaining whether or not a woman has committed adultery. It involved giving her something to drink which would make her miscarry. Some liberal website says this shows forced abortions in the Bible. Help? Pontifex
Without even exploring the passage let me just say that it is a smoke screen. For one thing we do not rely on scripture alone and secondly the Bible is not without human error. It does not prove anything. Anyone can take a piece of scripture and make it say anything they want it to say. There are several scripture versus used in the old testament to justify abortion including the forming of Adam by God, stating that he became man at his first breath. It's illogical and an exercise in futility to try to reason with someone who abuses scritpure in this manner.
