OnlySunshine
Firstly, for my family friend, Regina, whom I've known ever since I was a baby. She passed away Sunday evening at age 87. She was a beautiful person inside and out. I know I benefited from just being in her presence. She was Catholic and was very faithful to receiving the Eucharist whenever she could in the nursing home where she lived for about 13 or 14 years. She was a very simple soul and was born with a slight mental disability but she was very joyful and never uttered a bad word to anyone. She is a true saint and I know heaven is rejoicing in her presence. May our Immaculate Mother, her namesake, pray for her departed soul. Amen. Second, please pray for my grandfather as he was admitted to the ER last night with a high fever and delirium. He had just been released on the 18th after suffering a bad kidney infection. He only has one kidney and the doctors are worried about what will happen when this one is damaged since he had a nephrectomy a year ago. He is currently on IV antibiotics and is already showing signs of improvement. The only problem is that the recurring infections and antibiotic treatment has caused his intestinal infection, known as Clostridium difficile, to go into relapse. It's highly contagious and very difficult to get rid of. Lastly, please pray for my grandmother. I am worried the most about her because of the stress of our friend's passing and my grandfather being in the hospital. To top it off, her next door neighbor, who they are friends with, just had a heart attack this weekend so she is worried about him as well. I told her to take care of herself because she was under a great deal of stress last year and it nearly crushed her. I am worried what this might do to her if she takes on more than she can handle. Hopefully, she'll listen to what I said. Thanks everyone. God bless.
