Nothing is more practical than
Finding God, that is than
Falling in love
In a quite absolute final way.
What you are in love with,
What seizes your imagination,
Will affect everything.
It will decide
What will get you out of bed
In the morning
What you do with your evenings,
How you spend your weekends,
What you read, who you know,
What breaks your heart,
And what amazes you with
Joy and gratitude.
Fall in love, stay in love,
And it will decide everything.

It was hard picking a piece short enough to fit in there! The whole poem is just so good. This is another one I like:
I see His Blood Upon the Rose
Joseph M Plunkett

I see his blood upon the rose
And in the stars the glory of his eyes,
His body gleams amid eternal snows,
His tears fall from the skies.

I see his face in every flower;
The thunder and the singing of the birds
Are but his voice—and carven by his power
Rocks are his written words.

All pathways by his feet are worn,
His strong heart stirs the ever-beating sea,
His crown of thorns is twined with every thorn,
His cross is every tree.
