Not gonna lie, a shot of the new marshmallow fluff-flavored vodka was offered to me at a baby shower recently. The shot glass had been dipped in a chocolate syrup/graham cracker concoction, creating a smore-like flavor. If I told you that I had 3 of these shots, I'd be a liar....because I had no less than 5. KnightofChrist
If God hates when people get drunk, why did Jesus whip up some good wine when the partygoers were apparently already a little tipsy. Srs question
Were they? When one is tipsy one's taste is impaired how then could the chief steward taste that the wine Christ made and taste that it was far superior to that of the other wine? We should also recall that Jewish Wedding parties at the time lasted about a week and had large amounts of people attending. So the wine they did drink at these parties was watered down by a large amount as to make enough for everyone for the whole week. When men have well drunk, is better translated, when men have drank plentifully. Which would imply Christ made His wine at the end of week, after the other wine was gone. Also in John 2:10 how are you sure that the chief steward was speaking directly about the crowd at Cana? It looks very much like he was just saying "Hey groomsman where'd you get this really good wine?! Usually people bring out the good stuff at the beginning of the party not the end, whats up with that?"
