eta: By the way, it's probably not unfair to assume that women have always been this way. It's probably just been so taboo to admit, they never have. A lot is changing, a lot of old taboo subjects are being discussed. I don't like or condone the reading of explicit material, but sometimes I wonder if we don't do ourselves a serious disservice by not talking about this more openly and in a larger form. Sex is good and we should be able to talk about it without shame or guilt or fear.

We wouldn't have nearly the number of sex columnists we have if people (1) knew more about what is ACTUALLY normal and (2) weren't so afraid to talk about sex and relationships.

So many things were missed while I was gone. It's unbelievable. I can't say I am sorry for missing the particular thread this thread is based off of, but from what I read it basically went the way things usually go when modesty and sexuality are concerned on this site, so I felt as if I was on it, just a few months ago or so. It's quite the hot topic. Jeez, it's almost as if we need a forum for it.
