How is it not in the nature of God to create? He is the creator. True love is always fruitful and creation naturally flows from love. Because God is love, it has to be in his nature to create. I've always been told that the love between Father and Son was so strong and powerful, that it literally manifests as the Holy Spirit, thus forming the trinity.

You are right when you say that it is in God's nature to create, BUT, God's nature cannot be defined as "to create"; just as it is in our nature to create (although not from nothing (ad nihil) as God can), but if someone asked what your nature was your would not say, "i am a creator", you would more correctly say, "my nature is human", and those with a human nature have the capacity to create.

It is also true that the infinite and perfect love of the Father and the Son for each other is SO infinite and perfect that it is in fact another infinite and divine Person, the Holy Spirit...BUT (again), the Holy Spirit IS NOT created, to use the proper theological term, the Holy Spirit is spirated , which roughly translated means 'breated out', but this spiration, like the procession of the Son from the Father is eternal, and can in no way be described as a creation.

Hope this makes things clearer :saint2: .

AVE MARIA!!
