Amppax
That article doesn't even come close to some of the amazing places to go in MI and Grand Rapids is not among them. I think we will head north. Neither of us have been there before.
The UP is amesome during the summer. Bring bug spray though.
Brother Adam
We go to the Up almost every year which is why I am asking. If it is in Michigan, we have been there done that except the island park in lake Superior. If we go north again it would probably be to check out the apostle islands. If anyone is interested I can point out some great deserted lakes.
MissScripture
We contemplated going to the Apostle Islands, but we won't be going this summer. Too busy already. I would definitely pick Apostle Islands over the Dells or MOA.
Brother Adam
It looks like ME is going to win. Worth a stop at Niagara state park as well. We shall upload pictures to PM
Vincent Vega
Actually, you should come to MN. The MoA is nice and all, but we have WAY cooler things to be seeing that that dusty relic. Our Cathedral of St. Paul is truly magnificent, and the Minneapolis Institute of Arts is always a fun time, and free to visit. And of course, this has nothing at all to do with the fact that I'd love an opportunity to meet you and all...
I loved the Cities when I visited, but I will echo the sentiment that the Mall of America is almost certainly just like your mall at home, just bigger. Same boring stores, sketchy food courts, and weird adolescents, just more of them.

Vincent Vega
Theme park and legoland are generous names for what's in that mall.
Slappo
Come to Alaska! It's only a 62 hr drive one way! Don't forget your passports to drive through Canada. I'm sure the kids would love the drive!
