Hubertus
I had a little piggy once! I fed her, and she grew real big, then I showed her in the fair. And then I eated her. Mmm, tasty. I also had a goat once.. She was my best friend. Her name was Shady, but she died of heat stroke. I had a sheep once, too. Sheep are just dumb. And they taste bad.
Well the thing with pigs is that they basically never stop eating, so every time they come up to you they just want food. Not companionship or anything, like dogs, cats, goats, etc. So it wasn't too hard to say good-bye.

sixpence
I didn't think pigs smelled too much if they lived inside? I heard regular sized pigs make good guard ...umm..guard pigs.
LinaSt.Cecilia2772
I heard the exact same thing. My friend has a mini pig and that little thing is one of the cutest pigs i've ever seen. It's pretty calm and whenever it feels like my friend is threatened, he guards her. And he doesn't really stink that bad.

Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
are these natural minatures or a scientific interferance?
IcePrincessKRS
I didn't think pigs smelled too much if they lived inside? I heard regular sized pigs make good guard ...umm..guard pigs.
I've heard that about guard pigs, too (although I thought it was pot bellies for some reason). But, honestly (imho), all animals have a smell, even if they're kept pretty clean. It might not necessarily be a bad stench, but it's there. We don't have pets because my husband doesn't like dogs and I'm allergic to cats... so maybe I just notice it more because of that. Also, my FIL farmed hogs... so... natural aversion there. lol
Maximilianus
One time we (my fam) were visiting some folks and they had a hog in the back yard. I spent the time feeding it avocados that were strewn about the ground. It enjoyed them.
Ed Normile
I was refinishing four large hiplap barn buildings that were on a pig farm in Indiana back in '87. I worked on the site for over a week and the last day I had a few hours of work left to do and would be finished by noon so I took my wife with me and told her we would go to Brookville lake and go swimming after I wrapped up and collected for the job. This place had a horrible pig manure smell, as all pig farms do, when we got there my wife noticed about forty tiny pigs in a small pen about 400 feet from where we parked. She said, "They are so cute, can I go over and pet them " , the wind was blowing from our direction towards the pigs so the smell was going the other way. I said sure honey, go pet them, saying a silent prayer that the wind would change as she got there. As fate would have it when she was about 50 feet from the piglets I felt the wind hitting me in the face, she stopped in her tracks and started gagging ! I laughed so hard I had to set down, she came back and was livid saying, " you knew that was going to happen !" I told her no, but I was sure praying that it would. She did not see the humor in teh whole situation. Every now and then we pass a pig in a truck or on a sign and she says " you remember that time that you sent me over to the baby pigs, and I get another laugh and she still gets mad. ed
