My hair isn't overly curly, but when it gets long like it is now it starts to curl at the ends.

My brother's hair is the same way. When he grows it out, he has some extra-wavey-to-mildly-curly action going on. Right now he's rocking a fauxhawk and it's adorbs.

I don't know why I told you the second part of that. :|

Haha. I've always preferred the more traditional route. I have gel, but I don't normally need to use it since my hair is the way it is.

Because you're talking to me. It's common knowledge that I have special powers that gets people to reveal things they normally wouldn't. Duh.

I want to try to trim my own hair soon. I figure since I'm going to shave it off anyway, what does it matter if it's not perfect?

Oh and that reminds me: do the other curlies here (that actually go to salons) go to curl-specific salons? I hadn't really thought much of a curl-specific salon so much as a curl-knowledgeable hairdresser. My hairdresser is super fab and has wicked curly hair himself so he's always been good to me.

I feel weird walking in and asking that they not shampoo me with their product or straighten my hair for cutting but... whatever: IT'S MY HAIR. If you don't want to do a proper curly cut, you don't want my business. I understand using a diffuser to dry me faster so you can get to cutting, but I want it cut curly and dry.

That's another thing: Random Concern #234 that seems to detract from the spirit of shaving my head in the first place -- what the heck am I going to do when it's like 3 inches long and wanting to curl?! Growing these locks back out is going to SUCK.

Every '80s movie I have ever seen just flashed through my mind...

And the hair looks awesome!

I've been doing most of my showering at night lately because that's when I go to the gym. :( As soon as I can justify a second shower in the morning, I might start doing that. Or if I can figure out a way to do an ACV rinse in the sink without making a huge mess...

They are available at Walmart (and probably Target) for cheaper, but this would probably help with applying the vinegar rinse without splashing it all over the place. (I use a smaller 8oz bottle, but I am thinking of getting a bigger one along these lines.)

I'd forgotten how often I actually left my hair curly... :|
(At least I know what to expect a year or two after shaving!)

I like how my dad uses those for his business and you're using them for your hair.

They're multi-purpose, man. I have like 6 of them (the majority stored in the craft box... I don't even remember what I bought them for.)

To be fair, I actually lied: Most of my '80s knowledge comes from when I was thirteen to late fourteen and was obsessed with rock bands from that time, so when I saw your picture and all of the images were flashing through my mind it was sometimes hard to discern man from woman.
