Lil Red
IN THE MIDST In the midst of darkness there is light In the midst of sorrow solace found In the midst of death, babes are born. In the midst of hatred, love persists. Love persists. May we reach and give to those in need May we seek to comfort those who grieve. May we see ourselves in strangers eyes, and arise refreshed and be renewed be renewed. May we wake to tolerance today may we learn to express different views may we form respect amidst the fray and feel the community that we share that we share. May we search and open up our hearts may we bear the burden of our load may we live, remember, and forgive, and from our anger we'll be freed we'll be freed. Brother Adam
I'm sitting here in my room. The sun is shining. There is a warm breeze flowing through the window. The birds are singing their songs outside. And I'm listening to these words being sung on the stereo: Gather at the table of the Lord Rejoicing always Marvel at the radiance of God Celebrate the day As one body come together In the Father's love forevermore At the table fo the Lord Come and gather 'round. Small blessings seem to come when we least expect it. If anyone tries to move me, I'm likely to kick them

geetarplayer
Brother Adam, I may not know the full potential of how you feel, but I do understand. The future is a scary place... where will we be tomorrow? It can be haunting and daunting and ominous in every way. I especially hate waiting around for something to happen. Like, what next, you know? The worst rooms in life are waiting rooms, I think. Stay strong, though. I will be praying for you. -Mark

Birgitta Noel
Bro Adam, Been there, been in that place, many times. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Fr. described praying the rosary as taking our Lady's hand and walking with her. As you work through this say little bits of the rosary throughout the day, continually grabbing her hand. Hang in there. I know it can be tough.
crusader1234
Hey Bro, I have depression, so do a few people in my family, I look at it as a sort of weird blessing. Overcoming depression is like proving our love to Jesus. Not many people are challenged as much as others, and just like the rich person getting into heaven is like a camel through the eye of a needle, a person who doesnt struggle in life wont be able to know Jesus as intimately as people who really have to struggle to keep their faith alive. So if you want to pull the covers over your head once in a while, go for it. But dont forget, youve got a loving wife waiting for you, and Jesus. A funny thing I read was this... God only tests us as much as we can take... like Job for instance. So for people with depression, it must meen God thinks a heck of a lot if he thinks we can get through this. Take it as a compliment. God bless you because depression is hard. -RICH Edited May 19, 2004 by crusader1234

Brother Adam
I left the temp job that was cauing me to get so depressed. The last time I had a job like this I ended up on medication after working at it for three weeks. That was for Padnos Iron Co. After doing my job for 7 1/2 hours today (and it wasn't even 11am yet), I was walking towards the front feeling like throwing up when I saw three scrap metal bins labeled "Padnos Iron and Metal". As soon as I saw it I was like "That's it!". I was already planning on leaving, but that threw it over the top. Now I'm depressed because I realize I haven't had a real job in over 2 years.
