Most of you have read this, or some version of it before, or more likely, experienced it as it was happening here at phatmass 8 years ago.

Wow ! I was blessed to be brought up as a catholic in an irish catholic family and never had a doubt about any part of my faith. I have argued with protestant relatives that married in to my extended family, its amazing what you pick up without even knowing from the scripture in mass, not to mention my time in catholic schools. I read your story with an awe in the power of God, also the love He showed through attracting you, or was it the love you showed in your attraction to him? Your story has touched me in a deep way, I will never forget it. Thank you for sharing it.

I didn't realize you were born Catholic, though I knew you had converted from Baptist. Good story. :like: I like reading conversion stories. It helps teach me more about my own faith. It also makes me very grateful to have been raised Catholic, because I don't know that I'd have the courage to become Catholic if my family wasn't. :ohno:

Yeah, when I prayed to accept Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior I probably didn't pray hard enough.

This is why I've always said Protestants are far closer to Pelagianism than Catholics.
