So, I Like This Girl

Not in the sense that Im trying to date her (haha, now this is already less interesting) But I like her as a person. I really do. I think she is an interesting person and I would like to keep in touch with her after I leave. Pursuent to this we are meeting a lot this week and talking and seeing things in the city. Unfortunately, while she speaks English fine, at least enough to get by, she insists on using google translate when we try to make plans via facebook chat. We have been trying to make plans for an hour. I have no idea what the hell she is saying or when we are going to meet. Kids, when your teachers tell you not to use google translate for your homework because it comes out a jumbled mess...THEY ARE NOT LYING.

:ohno:

the thig with the girl is platonic. Other interactions are more ambiguious. For example, despite the obvious sexual tension that occurs whenver we interact here nothing seems to ever come out of it. Which is a pity. But sometimes that's just how life works out. :sadwalk:

Did you consider she might be waiting for you to ask her out on a date?

Maybe. But I don't think that is going to happen. The comment about the fact that she was a girl was intended to lure people in so I could bitch about google translate.

1. The power to make that happen is in your hands.

2. I didn't realize the philter didn't pick up that word (idrc about your use of it, but it can and is often used in a derrogatory manner towards women)

The fiddlers aren't working very well right now (obviously). It's a version issue.

hm. I think there is a misunderstanding. I'm not trying to date this girl. But I do not her as a person, in a not trying to date sort of way, and would like to keep in touch with her. I realize that the title was misleading. But that was the point. It was supposed to look like a dramatic thread of unfufilled desire when in reality it was about the defecencies of Google Translate.

Now I understand. The 'we' was supposed to refer to me and Ed. I was making a joke about homoeroticism but due to my being so busy and cool I made a poorly constructed transition and seemed to be talking about the girl for the entire paragraph rather than just the first sentence.
