Jake, when you die, the Church should canonize you and make you the new patron saint of the unborn and of the Church! I know St. Joseph is already the patron saint of the Church, but that's ok -- nothing wrong with having 2 of 'em. ;)

Thanks Dave! But I'm far from being a Saint. LOL! Quite possibly the furthest... :sadder:

But I found the email address of the Professor who went to the March for Women's "life", and I wrote her. Please send your prayers with this letter.

Professor Russell,

May the Peace and Love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ fill your heart!

I recently visited the website for the School of Law at Santa Clara University, and my eye immediately was caught by the title "March for Women's Lives". The reason this caught my eye was that, being Catholic, I know that this conference is in direct opposition to Catholic Teaching on abortion. Now I want to make sure that it is very clear, I am a huge advocate of women's rights. In fact the scope of my advocacy actually goes far beyond that of the ACLU, because I advocate the rights of the unborn women, and the unborn women of color. I believe that a woman does indeed have a choice in reproduction. But the choice must be made prior to conception, because after conception, there is a new life whose rights must not be violated. And modern science has proven beyond doubt, beyond opinion, that life begins upon conception. Opinions are a thing of the past when it comes to life in the womb. Therefore the choice for a woman must be between having intercourse or not. It's actually a very simple choice, compared to the alternative. I'd much rather make a choice between pleasure and the neutral "non-pleasure", than to have to decide between keeping a life and taking one. You see, then, that by supporting abortion, the ACLU actually contradicts itself, because it supports the extermination of not only women of color, but all unborn women who's mothers choose that they do not wish to have them. But now I am veering off course. The reason I wanted to write to you was because of my concern for those who will visit the Santa Clara University School of Law website. Regardless of our own personal beliefs, which we are entitled to since we live in a free country, it is simply a misrepresentation of the Catholic faith to have a link to a pro-abortion organization on a website which is run by a pro-life organization, namely a Catholic University. This may not have been your intention, in fact, you may not have even been the one to post the link to the article, but nevertheless this link may misinform an individual who may not fully understand the Catholic position on abortion. Thus, reading the website for the School of Law, which is run by a Catholic School, one might draw the conclusion that the Catholic Church supports the ACLU as well as the March for Women's lives, which it certainly does not. And so my letter to you is a humble petition to remove the link to the ACLU from the Santa Clara University website. An alternate solution also might be simply to post a disclaimer under the link, stating that the Catholic Church does not support the ACLU's stance on abortion.

Professor Russell, you are a child of God, and regardless of your response to this email, I will bring you before our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, who is He Himself that made us. My prayers are with you.

I would also like to be very open about my communication with the Dean of the School of Law, as well as the President of Santa Clara University. I have written them also with my concern, and the Dean has written me back. Since this dialogue concerns you, then I will include it here if you wish to read.

And I then included the letters that I wrote to the Dean as well as his response.

May God bless this lady.

And I was looking at Santa Clara. That is how Marquette came off to me. Catholic Jesuit in name not in action.

It's a shame because it really really misrepresents Catholicism. You know, use up Catholic money to build a school that promotes less than pagan principles. Yeah, good plan. [/quote]
sadly, this sounds alot like the old catholic hs i went to :sadder:

God will do the rest.

why thank you.

All glory and honor to God. He certainly has blessed us all. And let us pray that he blesses these professors to see His Light.

Thanks!
