Papist
Morning Offering. There are numerous variations . I pray this one every morning. Most Holy and Adorable Trinity, one God in three Persons, I firmly believe that You are here present; I adore You with the most profound humility; I praise You and give You thanks with all my heart for the favors You have bestowed on me. Your Goodness has brought me safely to the beginning of this day. Behold, O Lord, I offer You my whole being and in particular all my thoughts, words and actions, together with such crosses and contradictions as I may meet with in the course of this day. Give them, O Lord, Your blessing; may Your divine Love animate them and may they tend to the greater honor and glory of Your Sovereign Majesty. Amen.
Spem in alium
There are too many favourites! There's a prayer I say during the Consecration, but I say it in Maltese and am not sure what it's called in English. This is the English version of the prayer (according to my very mediocre translating skills): My God, the Holy Body of Jesus hanging on the Cross for me. I love you and adore you, my Lord and my God. My God, the Holy Blood of Christ spilling on the ground for me. I love you and adore you, my Lord and my God. I'm probably not doing it much justice - it's a beautiful prayer to say. I also love to say the Divine Praises during Benediction. When I was very young, my grandmother taught me to say "Jesus, I love you with all my heart" during the Words of Institution. I still say those words now, and I think I always will
OnlySunshine
Hail Mary Divine Mercy Chaplet Our Father Hail Holy Queen Anima Christi The Divine Praises ***also, when the Precious Blood of Christ is raised by the priest and the bells are rung, I say: Precious Blood of Christ, cleanse me of all my sins that I may worthily approach the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar in praise and thanksgiving to Your Holy Name. brianthephysicist
It's not exactly a prayer, but I read this today and thought it might be appropriate: I got up early one morning And rushed right into the day; I had so much to accomplish that I didn't have time to pray. Problems just tumbled around me, And heavier came each task; "Why doesn't God help me?" I wondered. He answered "You didn't ask." I wanted to see joy and beauty, But the day toiled on gray and bleak; I wondered why God didn't show me, He said, "But you didn't seek." I tried to come into God's presence; I used all my keys in the lock; God gently and lovingly chided, "My child, you didn't knock." I woke up early this morning And paused before entering the day; I had so much to accomplish That I had to take the time to pray.
Hubertus
We said the Anima Christi after every daily Mass when I was a kid, but only recently has it struck me with how beautiful of a prayer it is. I also love the Memorare, and the Rosary. I'm starting to appreciate the beauty of these prayers more recently as well. Also, the Liturgy of the Hours. The best start to a day is getting to rise and say Morning Prayer with a group of fellows.
