Speeding through small towns is not a good idea. Small town cops don't really have anything better to do than to set traps. Learned that the hard way.

Once my grandma drove through a yellow to red light.....and some dumb cop pulled her over...and gave her a ticket

Ah, small town cops. There's one cop in a town near us that doesn't let anyone speed. He is notorious for giving out tickets. It makes his day, I think. Most of our industry is through semis, so most of our traffic involves them. The thing is, though, truckers like to get to their destination quick and so they speed a lot. They all warn each other when they get near the town to slow down.

I figured you were slowing down because he was tailgating so you got the license plate off your rearview mirror, slowing down got him closer so yu could read better..
