emmaberry
Hello! I am looking for Catholic music-not just Christian, but specifically Catholic. I am a convert to Catholicism from Protestantism, and so I grew up with Hillsong, Jesus Culture, and while those are good, I am looking for music that is authentically Catholic and/or biblical. Obviously, the Christian bands I previously stated have biblical music, but I mean music that is pretty much singing bible parseages/verses. I already know of Danielle Rose and Matt Maher, who are wonderful and very enthusiastic about Catholicism in their music. I would love to have more contemporary songs about the Blessed Mother! Most songs about her are either hymns, sung by a choir, or just corny. Anyway, this thread could also be a way for PMers to share great Catholic/Biblical music they've come across! Thanks for any replies. Edited June 30, 2012 by emmaberry

Lisa
YES! To Audrey arsead! Also, check out Popple. They do a lot of retreat/camp work and are just plain goofy. Some of their songs make no sense whatsoever. but, they also have beautifully written, theologically sound music, too! Of particular interest might be "Forever Yours," a song to Mary! Basilisa Marie
If you're into hiphop/rap (or could be! you never know!), pretty much all the music Phatmass does is fantastic. It's all solid. dells_of_bittersweet
try spiritandsong.com. These are all Catholic artists, although the quality is not quite at Hillsong levels yet.

beatitude
Bernadette Farrell has composed a beautiful rendition of Psalm 139, O God You Search Me and You Know Me. Here it is sung by the Wells Cathedral Choir.
