Byzantine
When I hear about someone doing something sinful I sometimes get this sort of... pain. Is this judging them... or something else? I don't know... It's like this sadness I suppose. I'm not sure how to explain it...
CatherineM
Think of it as collective guilt. It is your conscience. It is the sound of the oppressed, the wrongly imprisoned, the victim, the martyr crying out for justice. It is the cry of a mother weeping for her children. We all have it, except psychopaths. Some people may only feel it for things like pictures of genocide. For those of us privileged to know God's truth, seeing sin will make us have pain. It isn't being judgmental. It is being aware. How you handle that knowledge can be judgmental.
